A Legacy of Faith in Finland. President Robert G. Wade and his wife, Sister Faye Wade, served the Finland Mission from 1972 to 1975. Fifty years later, their missionaries gathered to honor them with Memories & Miracles, a book of personal stories presented to Sister Wade at the April 2026 Salt Lake City reunion. We are thrilled to introduce a new collection of stories from the mission field. Memories and Miracles is a living history, featuring original articles from our members, missionaries, and their families—including a special contribution from Sister Wade.
As you read along with Sister Wade, you’ll journey back to the miracles of 1972–1975. But the story didn’t end there. Today, we are witnessing the continued growth of seeds planted over 50 years ago. What began as small acts of faith have grown into mature, fruit-bearing trees. It is a powerful reminder that the Lord uniquely needed every one of the 300 missionaries who served during those pivotal years.

April 3, 2026 , 7:00 P.M. Finnish Reunion - formal presentation to Sister Wade
April 3 - at 11: A.M. copy of the book will be placed in the Church History Department building in Salt Lake City. A digital copy of the book will be given to the Church North European History Department. People who submitted articles are invited to attend. Submit your name and email by March 15, and your name will be added to the list, and a parking pass will be issued to you.
March 6 - Elder Dale G. Renlund - An apostle who loves Finland. Mike Nyborg, Sister Wade, and Geoff Rasmussen will present the book to Elder Renlund
March 5 - Church Family History Library presentation. This includes RootsTech. Mike Nyborg, Darwin Rasmussen, and Geoff Rasmussen will present a copy of the book to the Library director.
